Prologue: It is said, that a smile will carry you another mile
“on-account-of because” there’s a “mile” in every smile?
The Value of A Smile?
Smile away your blues,
Just put on a pair of shiny shoes ?
Shinny shoes are uplifting,
They keep your attitude from downward-shifting?
Sit in your favorite chair and raise your feet into full view,
The reflection of your beautiful smile will sparkle your attitude anew?
That’s all I have to say for today,
now, go in your imagination for a happy ride,
in a one-horse open sleigh?
P.S. Your smile dresses you better than anything ?
The following poem has been my morning and night “prayer” since 1957. I have used this poem to endure the many fickle nuances of change and uncertainty during my life experiences. It is the poem I refer to on the “Who Is Bob Page”…https://www.fivestarteacher.com/who-is-bob/
I was unable to find Edgar’s poem, “Cares” on the Internet and would like to share it with you. There are many other practical poems on the Internet written by Edgar Guest. In addition here is a URL where you can find information about Edgar Guest. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgar_Guest

CARES
© By Edgar Guest
If it weren’t for the troubles
We meet on the way,
The chances of failure
We face every day,
If it weren’t for the burdens
We’re given to bear,
Then there’d be no pleasures
for which we would care.
If it weren’t for the things
that we try hard to do,
The things that we fail at
and tackle anew,
The things we may never
accomplish on earth,
We never could show
to the world what we’re worth.
For the hardships we face
and the burdens we bear,
The troubles we master,
Our triumphs over care,
Are the things, after all,
that shows us at our best,
In being able to strive
for a goal, we are blest.
P.S. Whenever the challenge of change and the fear of uncertainty causes you stress and soul pain, recite and focus on the message by the wise poet, Edgar Guest. Be patient, persistent and persevering; others have and you can too! Best of luck always. Blooming Bobville the practical poet. May you always be fresh and blooming, patient, persistent and persevering ?
